A Short History … Since it was established nearly 100 years ago, this Edwardian school has continuously served the educational needs of children in the area. It began life in 1906 as Rainham Council School and was re-named Meredale Infant School in 1949. Kinder Groups acquired the school in 2004 naming it Meredale Independent Primary School. Kinder Groups was founded in 1990 by Allan and Janet Bishop to provide quality nursery and pre-school education. The Directors, both qualified teachers, have long and established business experience. A group of eight nurseries has been developed – all in north and mid-Kent - one of which was sited within Meredale Infant School. It was Medway Council’s closure of the Infant School that prompted Kinder Groups to purchase the premises. Making A Start … Meredale School’s motto of “Opportunity, Potential, Achievement” encompasses our intention to provide stimulating, challenging and enjoyable education for all our pupils. Our school is based on Christian principles. We feel that it is important for all children attending the school to take part in our assemblies since the family and caring principles they encourage will benefit everyone. |
