Language and Literacy

The finest gift to a child is the ability to read and write.  When a child has learnt those skills a whole world opens up to them.  We ensure that reading, comprehension and expressive writing are taught and learned thoroughly by using a combination of reading schemes backed up by a phonic based scheme for teaching spelling and sounds.  

Numeracy

Mathematics is taught using a wide variety of apparatus.  Children are given plenty of practical experience, especially in the early years, to enable them to develop the skills and understanding necessary for them to handle mathematical data with confidence and enthusiasm.
